These drafts reflect Intercedo’s current local-first design. They are not legal advice—have counsel review before relying on them as final legal policies.
This Privacy Policy explains how Intercedo (âwe,â âus,â or âthe Appâ) handles information when you use the Intercedo mobile application. Intercedo is designed to keep your prayer and intention data on your device whenever possible.
1. Who we are
Intercedo is a personal companion for intercessory prayer published as a mobile application. For privacy questions, contact us at support@intercedo.app.
If we list a different operator name or mailing address in the App Store or Google Play listing, that listing controls the legal identity of the publisher for store purposes.
2. Information we store on your device
Intercedo stores information locally on your device so the App can function. This may include:
⢠Prayer titles and prayer text you choose or create
⢠Intention details you enter (such as names, reasons for prayer, notes, and optional photos)
⢠Reminder settings (time, recurrence, start/end dates)
⢠App preferences (such as language, light/dark appearance, and whether you completed the tutorial)
This information is saved in on-device storage (including a local database and preference files). We do not operate an Intercedo account system, and the App does not upload your prayers or intentions to Intercedo-operated servers.
3. Device permissions and related data
Depending on how you use Intercedo, the App may request access to:
⢠Camera and photo library â only to attach an optional image to an intention you create
⢠Notifications â to deliver prayer reminders you schedule
⢠Calendar â to create, update, or remove reminder events you choose to sync with your device calendar
⢠Speech/text-to-speech features provided by your device â to read prayers and intentions aloud when you request it
You can deny or later revoke these permissions in your device settings. Some features will not work without the related permission. OS-level permission prompts and related system processing are controlled by Apple or Google, not by Intercedo servers.
4. Optional tips and payments
Intercedo is free to use. If you choose to leave an optional tip through the in-app tip jar, payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by Intercedo servers.
Before a tip purchase can proceed, the App may present a short on-device parental gate (for example, a simple math question). Your answer is checked locally on your device to reduce accidental purchases by children. That answer is not uploaded to Intercedo servers, is not used for advertising or profiling, and is not stored as an account record.
Apple or Google may collect and process payment information, device identifiers, and purchase records under their own privacy policies. Intercedo does not receive your full payment card details. We may receive limited purchase confirmation information from the store (such as product identifier and transaction status) solely to complete the tip in the App.
5. Information we do not collect
Intercedo does not currently use Intercedo-operated analytics, advertising trackers, crash-reporting backends, or cloud backups of your prayer content. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your prayer or intention content for advertising.
If a future version adds optional analytics, accounts, or cloud sync, we will update this Privacy Policy and relevant store disclosures before those features collect data on our behalf.
6. Sharing with others
Your prayer and intention content stays on your device unless you choose to share it yourself (for example, through your deviceâs share sheet) or unless a feature you enable writes data to another app on your device (for example, calendar events).
Device backups (such as iCloud Backup or Google backup, if you enable them) may include app data under Appleâs or Googleâs terms. Intercedo does not control those backups.
If you contact support by email, through the App Store or Google Play, rate the App, open a store listing, or make an optional tip, those actions use Apple, Google, or your mail/share apps under their own terms and privacy policies. Intercedo does not control those third-party services.
7. Data retention and deletion
Because content is stored on your device, you control retention. Deleting a prayer, intention, reminder, or the App itself removes the related local Intercedo data, subject to normal device backup behavior (for example, if your phone backups include app data).
Calendar events created with your permission remain in your calendar until you delete them in Intercedo (when that removal is supported) or delete them in your calendar app.
Purchase records for tips are retained by Apple or Google according to their policies and may appear in your store account purchase history.
8. Childrenâs privacy
Intercedo is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not offer a âKids Categoryâ experience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through Intercedo-operated servers. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us by email, contact support@intercedo.app so we can delete it.
Optional tips should be made only by adults authorized to use the applicable App Store or Google Play account. The tip jar includes a parental gate intended to make accidental child purchases harder; it is not a substitute for device-level parental controls, Screen Time / Family Link settings, or Appleâs or Googleâs own purchase authentication and Ask to Buy features.
9. International users
Intercedo processes information on your device. If you contact us by email, your message will be received where we read support mail. Do not include sensitive information you are not comfortable sending by email. Tip payments may be processed in the country or region associated with your Apple or Google account.
10. California and similar U.S. state notices
If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, note that Intercedoâs current design does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because prayer content stays on your device and we do not operate user accounts, many âaccess/delete my cloud profileâ rights do not apply in the same way as for account-based online services. You may delete local app data by removing content in the App or uninstalling Intercedo, and you may email support@intercedo.app with privacy questions.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
11. Security
We design Intercedo to keep sensitive prayer content on your device rather than on Intercedo servers. No method of electronic storage is perfectly secure. You are responsible for maintaining control of your device, OS passcode/biometrics, and backups. If you become aware of a security issue affecting Intercedo, contact support@intercedo.app.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The âLast updatedâ date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy. For material changes, we may also provide notice in the App or store listing when practical.
