Intercedo

1. The App

Intercedo helps you organize prayers and personal intentions for intercessory prayer. Features may include predefined and custom prayers, intention notes and photos, local reminders, optional calendar events, text-to-speech reading, language options, an optional tip jar, and related tools described in the App.

Intercedo is a personal prayer aid. It is not an official product of the Holy See, any diocese, parish, or religious order unless we expressly say so in writing.

2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding agreement under the laws of your place of residence to use Intercedo. If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Intercedo only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and optional tips should be made only by an authorized adult on the applicable store account.

3. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Intercedo on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, and in accordance with these Terms and applicable app store rules (including Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement and Google Play terms where they apply).

4. Your content

You are responsible for the prayers, intentions, notes, photos, and other content you add (“Your Content”). You retain rights in Your Content. You grant us only the limited technical permission needed to store and display Your Content on your device so the App can provide its features.

Do not include content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, or that you do not have the right to use. Be thoughtful when storing names or sensitive personal details about others. You are responsible for complying with applicable privacy and data-protection laws for any personal information about other people that you choose to store on your device.

5. Spiritual and pastoral disclaimer

Intercedo is a personal prayer aid. It is not a substitute for the sacraments, pastoral care, spiritual direction, medical advice, mental-health care, legal advice, or emergency services. Scripture quotations, Catechism references, and other religious materials are provided for devotion and education and may be abbreviated or presented in translation.

If you or someone else is in danger or crisis, contact local emergency services or appropriate professional help immediately.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, redistribute, or misuse the App except as allowed by law
• Attempt to interfere with the App’s security or normal operation
• Use the App to harass, exploit, or unlawfully process another person’s information
• Use Intercedo in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms

7. Optional tips (tip jar)

Intercedo is free, and all core prayer features remain available without payment. The App may offer an optional tip jar that lets you voluntarily support the development and maintenance of Intercedo through small, one-time tips (for example, amounts corresponding to about \$1, \$3, or \$5, or the local-currency equivalents set in the App Store or Google Play).

Tips are:

• Entirely voluntary and never required to use the App
• Not a purchase of additional features, content, subscriptions, or status
• Not a charitable donation to a nonprofit organization unless we expressly state otherwise in writing
• Processed exclusively through Apple In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing, subject to Apple’s or Google’s terms, refund rules, and privacy policies
• Subject to an in-app parental gate (adult check) before a tip purchase can begin, to reduce accidental purchases by children

You represent that you are authorized to complete any tip you initiate, including under the rules of the Apple or Google account used for payment. The parental gate is a reasonable safeguard only; it does not guarantee that a child cannot complete a purchase, and it does not replace store purchase confirmations, biometric or passcode prompts, Ask to Buy, or other parental controls you enable on the device or account.

A tip does not create an ownership interest, employment relationship, or entitlement to future features. Prices shown in the App are set and displayed by Apple or Google and may vary by region, taxes, and currency. If you believe a tip was charged in error, request support through Apple or Google according to their refund processes, or contact us at support@intercedo.app so we can point you to the correct channel.

8. Third-party services and permissions

Intercedo may interact with device features and third-party platforms (for example, Apple App Store, Google Play, Apple or Google billing, your mail app, share sheet, calendar, and notification system). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services you choose to use.

9. Intellectual property

Intercedo, including its name, design, and software (excluding Your Content and third-party materials), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Predefined prayer texts and cited Church materials remain subject to their respective sources and rights holders. “Intercedo” branding does not imply ecclesiastical endorsement.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

Intercedo is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that reminders, notifications, calendar events, or text-to-speech will always function on every device and OS version.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Intercedo. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for optional tips through the App in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) ten U.S. dollars (US \$10) if you have not paid any tips.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, certain liabilities for fraud or personal injury where such limits are prohibited).

12. Termination

You may stop using Intercedo at any time by deleting the App. We may stop offering the App or change features (including the tip jar) at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers and limitations of liability) will survive termination. Tips already processed are generally non-refundable except as required by Apple, Google, or applicable law.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. If you continue using Intercedo after an update, you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the App and delete it.

14. Governing law

Except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise, or where app store provider terms require otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that grants you mandatory rights, nothing in these Terms limits those non-waivable rights. If a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

15. Entire agreement / contact

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any store terms that apply to your download, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding Intercedo.
